DealHawk is a Chrome browser extension that helps users find profitable Lego arbitrage opportunities by monitoring retirement announcements and comparing prices across major retailers. This privacy policy explains how the extension handles data and what permissions it requires.
Data Collection
DealHawk does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal information.
Specifically, we do NOT:
- Collect personally identifiable information (name, email, address)
- Track your browsing history or habits
- Use cookies or tracking pixels

- Use analytics or advertising services
- Monitor your purchases or financial information
Local Storage Only
All data generated by DealHawk is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API. This includes:
- User Settings: Your configured price thresholds, scan intervals, and enabled retailers
- Opportunity Data: Product information, prices, and potential profit calculations
- Last Scan Time: Timestamp of the most recent price check
This data never leaves your computer and can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing Chrome's extension storage.
Third-Party Services
To function properly, DealHawk fetches publicly available product information from these retailers:
- Lego.com (retirement announcements and product details)
- Amazon.com (product prices)
- Walmart.com (product prices)
- Target.com (product prices)

Permissions Explained
DealHawk requires the following Chrome permissions to function. Here's exactly why each permission is needed:
Data Security
Since all data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's secure storage API, your data is protected by:
- Chrome's built-in encryption for extension storage
- Your device's operating system security
- Your Google account security (if Chrome sync is enabled)
DealHawk does not transmit data over the internet (except for fetching public product information), so there is no risk of data interception or server breaches.
Your Rights
Since DealHawk does not collect or store personal information on external servers, there is no data to request, modify, or delete from our systems. However, you can:
- View your data: Click the extension icon to see all stored opportunities and settings
- Delete your data: Uninstall the extension or clear Chrome's extension storage
- Control notifications: Disable in Chrome settings or the extension's settings page

DealHawk is transparent in its operation. The complete source code is available on GitHub for review, ensuring that the extension operates exactly as described in this privacy policy.
